When is a C heavy-slag removal station required?
  • Choose a C station when plasma- or flame-cut parts have large, firmly attached slag that requires a dedicated impact or wire-disc-brush removal step before finer processing.
  • Choose an R-only or RS-family machine when the parts mainly have ordinary burrs, oxide-layer residue or sharp edges without heavy attached slag.
  • Send representative uncleaned parts when the slag type, attachment strength or suitable tooling cannot be confirmed from photos alone.

  • C — Heavy-slag removal station: configured with selected alloy-hammer or steel wire disc brush tooling according to the actual slag and approved sample result.
  • R — Deburring station: uses a sanding belt consumable for planned burr removal, oxide-layer reduction or surface grinding.
  • S — Edge-rounding station: uses rotary roller brush tooling to create edge or radius rounding; it is not a true chamfering station.
  • W — Brushing or polishing station: uses a selected brushing roller or polishing roller. Two W stations are required when separate brushing and polishing stages are specified.

Working Width and Conveyor Platform Selection

Project-based working widths can be evaluated from 450, 630, 800, 1000, 1300 and 1600 mm. Select width from the maximum part dimension across the conveyor after confirming the loading orientation. A means vacuum adsorption, M means magnetic adsorption for suitable ferromagnetic parts, and A-M means a combined platform with half magnetic and half vacuum adsorption areas.

Small parts, warped parts, non-magnetic materials and parts with limited holding area require separate conveyor-holding review. Listed widths and platforms are configuration options, not confirmation that every workpiece is suitable.

Are alloy hammers and steel wire disc brushes separate stations?

No. They are alternative tooling options for the C heavy-slag removal station. The approved technical proposal must state the selected tooling.

Does every heavy-slag machine include edge rounding or polishing?

No. CR focuses on heavy-slag removal and deburring. Add an S station for edge rounding and a W station for brushing or polishing when those results are required.
